What we collect on this website
This website is a marketing and documentation site. You can read it without creating an account or giving us any personal data. The only information we receive from you directly is what you send us yourself, for example when you email us or book a call with us.
The remaining sections describe the technical information that is collected automatically while you browse, and who receives it.
Website analytics
To understand how this website is used, we use Umami, an open-source, privacy-focused analytics tool. We run Umami on our own infrastructure: the analytics data stays with us and is not sent to, or shared with, any third-party analytics provider. We do not use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity or any advertising pixel.
Umami does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you across other websites. Each visit is attributed to an anonymous visitor identifier that is derived from your IP address and browser and that is regenerated at least every month, so we cannot recognize you for longer than that, or across different devices. Your IP address is not stored; it is only used to derive that identifier and an approximate location (country, region and city).
The information we collect this way is limited to: the pages you visit and the page that referred you to us, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, your approximate location, and the actions you take on the site that matter to us, such as clicking the sign-up or log-in button.
To find and fix usability problems, Umami may also record how you interact with the site: the pages you view, where you click and how you scroll. Anything you type into a form field is masked and never recorded.
If you do not want to be included in our analytics, you can block requests to analytics.airshaper.com with a content blocker or in your browser; the website continues to work without it.
Log files and error reporting
Like most websites, our servers keep log files. These record your IP address, browser type, the date and time of the request and the page requested. We use them to keep the site running, to detect abuse and to diagnose problems, and we do not link them to any information that identifies you personally.
When something goes wrong in your browser while you use the site, an error report is sent to Sentry, an error-tracking tool that we host ourselves. The report contains the error, the page you were on, your browser and your IP address, and nothing you typed.
Cookies
Our analytics do not use cookies. The cookies this website sets itself are:
- A cookie that remembers that you have seen our cookie notice, so we do not show it to you again. It is kept for one year.
- If you arrive through a link that carries campaign parameters (for example from a newsletter or a post we published), those parameters are kept in a cookie for 30 days so that, if you later create an account, we know which campaign brought you to AirShaper. The cookie contains the campaign name, nothing about you.
No third party sets cookies through this website, with one exception: some pages contain videos hosted on YouTube. When such a page loads, only a preview image is fetched from YouTube's servers. The video player itself is loaded once you click on it, and from that moment YouTube may set its own cookies, under the Google Privacy Policy.
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings.
Advertising and profiling
We do not show advertising on this website, we do not work with advertising networks, and we do not use your browsing behavior to build a profile of your interests or to target you with advertising elsewhere.
Data Processors
To provide our services efficiently and securely, we work with a small number of third-party service providers ("Data Processors"). These Data Processors process personal data on our behalf in compliance with applicable data protection laws. Below is a list of our current Data Processors and the purpose for which they process personal data:
- Google Cloud: Hosts this website and our other services.
- HubSpot: Used for customer relationship management (CRM). When you book a call with us, contact us, or create an account on app.airshaper.com, your contact details (your name, email address, phone number and company) are stored in HubSpot so that we can follow up with you. HubSpot does not run any code on this website and does not observe your browsing.
We ensure that all our Data Processors adhere to strict data protection standards to safeguard your personal data. These processors are only permitted to process your personal data following our instructions and for the purposes we have explicitly defined.
External links
This website contains links to other sites, such as our profiles on social networks and the scheduling page where you can book a call with us. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to read their Privacy Policies before you share any information with them.
The AirShaper application
The AirShaper application at app.airshaper.com, where you create an account and run simulations, has its own Privacy Policy that describes the personal data we process when you use it.
Children's Information
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
AirShaper does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
Online Privacy Policy Only
This privacy policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in AirShaper. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
