In this video, we use AirShaper's Design Advice to learn how we can cut drag on the VECTO reference truck. This technique uses "adjoint shape optimization" and allows users without simulation expertise to improve the aerodynamics of their design.

The Design Advice tells users where to push a surface outward (red) or inward (blue) along the local normal.

Reducing Aerodynamic Drag on a Truck without expertise

In this video, we walk around the Koenigsegg Absolut to see how they improved the aerodynamics. This car does 0-400-0 in less that 28 seconds. For this, they needed to loose a lot of downforce in favor of a lower drag. They claim a drag coefficient Cd of less than 0.28 - that's really low for a hyper car!
