This famous geometry was used to benchmark CFD codes, correlate to wind tunnel test data and so on for automotive related aerodynamics projects. The method runs through a number of cycles, each containing: - a primal run (normal CFD simulation of the aerodynamics) - a dual run (adjoint simulation to link the drag reduction goal to the flow field) - a sensitivity map calculation (to calculate how the surface should be morphed to reduce drag) - a morphing step to implement these suggestions. The morphing is applied to the volume & surface mesh directly For more information, just get in touch at info@airshaper.com!
